Kanye Aplogizes to Taylor Swift for VMA Incident
Just after the first award for the VMAs on September 13, 2009, Kanye West stormed the stage to deliver one of his rants, when Taylor Swift was presented with an award for Best Female Video. He grabbed the mic and protested, saying “Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ll let you finish, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!” His rant was not well received though. Beyoncé was shocked by his inappropriate speech, the audience was silent during his impromptu speech, and when he left the stage the audience clapped–in support of Taylor Swift. During the debut of the Jay Leno Show, Kanye West took a step in the right direction when he gave a sincere apology to Taylor Swift and music lovers everywhere (you can watch the video below to see his apology and judge for yourself if his apology is sincere).
The next morning, Taylor Swift was on the View and talked about what happened. She said that that she would be open to a face to face apology from Kanye West. Since the show aired, a representative of Taylor Swift confirmed that Kanye West had reached out to Taylor Swift and that she had accepted his apology.

i was so happy when Taylor won! she totally deserved it and then Kanye had to ruin it!!!
At least he apologized, but still his apology sounded pretty pretentious and self-righteous, to me it sounded like he was playing the victim like his life is hard and he has so many things to deal with, i mean what does that have to do with what he did to poor taylor swift? truthfully i still just see that he humiliated her in front of millions of people and that was very rude and selfish. at least he had the “guts” to apologize but it seemed a little filled with holes.
Taylor Swift is the best country-pop singer today. I love all her songs and i love the she dress. She is pretty too. `
