So the news is in! Actress Katherine Heigl, best known for her roles in Grey’s Anatomy, Knocked Up, and 27 Dresses adopted a little girl, Naleigh, from South Korea.

“She was actually born the day before me in November, which I thought was really serendipitous and just kind of like a sign,” Heigl, age 30, said on the Ellen DeGeneres when announcing her adoption. Also, it has been said that Naleigh is a “special needs” child, so more props to Heigl for that compassionate move!

The process for adopting started a year ago for Heigl and husband Josh Kelley, who were married December 27, 2007. Both parents are excited over their new addition.
