Lost, Season 6: The Final Season

28 December 2009 by Allison | | No Comment

Can you believe it has been six years since the first season of Lost aired? It was September 22, 2004 when season 1 Pilot premiered. The first season averaged 16 million viewers and became a pop hit in society.

Lost is a series following a plane crash, and it follows the survivors of the crash. It is usually set someplace exotic, usually filmed in Hawaii.

Season 6 Premieres on February 2, 2010 at 9PM, and involves an LAX plane crash. It is a special 2 hour premiere. As always, it will follow the main events, and then go through one character’s point of view. But, sadly, Season 6 will be the last season of Lost. Since it costs so much to film the series, and viewer ratings have dropped, the show has decided to go out with a bang.

Season 6 will be 18 episodes long. The 121st episode will be the series finale and will air in May 2010. There will no longer be any time traveling or flash-forward episodes – this season will be shocking and surprising. They said it is something that has never been done before, so the sneak peeks and promo pictures are discreet and few, in order to keep the secrecy for season 6.

So far, the first three episodes will as such: Episode 1 and 2, “LA X” will air on February 2, 2010, and is a two-part back to back episode premiere. Episode 3 will air February 2, 2010, called “What Kate Does” and follows the life of Kate.  On February 16, 2010, “The Substitute” is episode 4. Very little is known about any of these episodes, so make sure to tune in and find out.
